- Client OS - Single user OS
- Server OS - Multiuser OS
32 bit OS vs 64 bit OS:
The main difference between a 32-bit OS and a 64-bit OS is the amount of memory (RAM) each OS can address and utilize:
- 32-bit OS can access a maximum of 4 GB of RAM (usually about 3.2–3.5 GB is usable due to system reserves).
- 64-bit OS can theoretically access over 18 quintillion bytes (~18 exabytes) of memory—far more than any current consumer PC requires.
